When students have completed the last unit of a module they will be asked to submit a written paper to their course Tutor. A copy of this assignment to show them the scope of this paper is included at the start of each module, and full instructions about creating and sending this assignment are also given in their module workbooks.

Students will be encouraged to analyse and describe real business situations. All information in this paper will be held in strict confidence, but students may disguise the identities of organisations and individuals if they wish. TGAs are uploaded by students to their course Tutor in Word format document or plain text, and saved to a secure repository on the system.

When the Tutor Graded Assignment has been marked and graded a copy is made available, including Tutor comments, in student lockers. Unlike results from multiple choice unit tests copies of the Tutor Graded Assignment are not made available to Administrators. This ensures student/ tutor confidentiality, and promotes student/ tutor trust.
